I bought him an encyclopedia set for his birthday. It was published in 1967. I got it at Half Price Books for $40. Aaron had been wanting a set because he wants the kids to be able to flip open a book, learn something, flip to another page and learn something totally different and unrelated. And he wanted to be able to do that with the kids. And any encyclopedia published after 1990 is at least $200. A 1967 encyclopedia isn't up to date on all the latest discoveries, but I figured there was plenty we could still learn from it. (Some of these pictures are strange...I was experimenting with our camera.)
