Missionaries

I had two nephews leave on missions in the last two weeks. That means we now have five missions serving from the McCombs family. So exciting.

I am usually bad at taking pictures, so I don't have one of Connor, but he is great. I taught him piano lessons for the last two-ish years. He didn't always practice a lot, but he was fun to talk to. And he's always been so nice to Annie and Scotty. Here is a picture of 3 of the 4 McCombs sisters (we miss Abbie!) after his farewell. Scotty's in the picture too because he was a little, whiny barnacle that day.
Here's another cute pictures of some aunts who came to the missionary farewell celebration--two from my mom's side and one from my dad's side. Such great ladies!!

Last weekend we went up to Idaho for Jarom's farewell. Jarom is a full-grown person. It's really cool to see Liz's kids grow up and start chatting with the adults. And I just have to say that Liz is an amazing person. For the two days we were there she hosted us, planned and prepared a meal for 40 people, taught gospel doctrine, was a bishop's wife, met the needs of five children, and planned and performed in a concert.

It was father's day while we were in Idaho. The kids made these in Primary. Annie's is first, then Scotty's.
These kids are lucky to have Aaron for a dad.

In other news, this was also the weekend Annie finally lost her snaggle-tooth. The process was expedited slightly by Grandpa Nielsen's tooth-pulling pliers. And Scotty was the opposite of a whiny barnacle for our whole trip. He went on the trampoline WITH OTHER KIDS and even got on and off by himself. He asked Cousin Aiden to go for help in getting off. Aiden wisely said, "Maybe later," and Scotty's independence took a jump forward.

Later in the week, Jarom's family brought him down to the MTC. Here are some pics of that.
Hooray for missionaries!
