Star Wars Party

With a Disney Plus subscription and a lot of free time on our hands, we decided it is time to show the kids the Star Wars movies (by which I mean episodes IV, V, and VI). They've already seen them, but they couldn't remember. This last Friday was the appointed day. I ventured to the store for treats, and when I got back there was a post on our Relief Society email: "Does anybody want this Millenium Falcon?" I jumped on that like Luke on a light saber. I imagined it being about the size of a dinner plate. Instead it was bigger than all of the heads in our family put together. Epic!
This week we also did a Yoda puzzle. (It was so hard! Yoda's skin looked the same as the tree bark which looked the same as his robe which looked the same as the moss.) And the kids made a banner for the mantel that said "Star Wars," and they did pencil portraits of Darth Vader. The last two mornings we have woken up to the sounds of Chewbacca coming from the playroom because the ship has buttons! I think this is social distancing at its finest.
