Annie's 7th Birthday Party

Ancient history...Annie turned 7 years old. Since it's (probably) our last year in this ward, I let Annie have a birthday party with all of her friends. She has a group of amazing friends! We feel very blessed. The party was a good reminder of how much these little people mean to us.

We had crafts (curse you glitter glue!) and a pinata. Macey's had one for $7--a great deal, but it was a little too sturdy.
All the kids got several good whacks in. We should have let them hit more/harder.

Annie's birthday is so close to Halloween that we decided to have a cake made of fruit (not to be confused with a fruitcake) to avoid any more sugar overload. On a side note, melons and berries are expensive in the fall.
Happy birthday to Annie! She is a great girl. She loves to chat and asks lots of questions about everything. She is really trying to figure out the world. She has started tuning in to our conversations. We discovered that we'd gotten pretty lax in the things we say around Annie (aka "The Recorder"). It's fun and intimidating to have an older kid. We're learning a lot and figuring out this new world, too.
