The Holidays

Thanksgiving was great. We spent a lovely day stuffing our faces at Aaron's parent's house. Aunt Mary has been teaching Annie piano lessons since August. Annie loves Mary and learning to play. They performed for us. Annie and Mary played duets from her lesson book, and Mary played a few excellent solos.

We got to meet and enjoy Rachel and Russell's new baby Rylan. She was lots of fun.

On to Christmas!

This year we spent Christmas Eve and morning at our own little house. I made the rice pudding! And it was delicious! The kids gobbled it up! I feel like I've joined the Scandinavian Women Club.
Aaron and Scotty just looked cute all snuggled up in this picture. This was Christmas Eve. They were reading Green Eggs and Ham which Scotty was obsessed with for a while.

Christmas morning was so fun! Earlier in the month, Annie had made and wrapped tons of tiny little presents for everyone in the family. It was super cute to see what she'd done. She made Christmas paper bracelets for everyone in the family. She gave Scotty a bouncy ball and a finger flashlight of her own that he'd been coveting. She made paper airplanes.
But my favorite gift was this fabulous pair of glasses. They were technically for Scotty, but I quickly confiscated them.
After opening presents and eating breakfast, we moseyed up to Aaron's parents' house where there were more presents. John and Julie gave me the most beautiful tupperware set known to womankind. I love it. Doesn't Annie look cute with her twinner doll?
On Sunday, church didn't start until noon, so we busted out the grandparents' K'nex set and built the roller coaster. It took about six hours. The kids were great helpers.
The rest of the trip we relaxed and read and watched movies and went to the McDonald's playland and celebrated two birthdays and saw the new Star Wars. It was a lovely vacation.

That roller coaster was awesome! Your kids are so cute living the rice pudding.
