Christmas 2014

This year I was in charge of the nativity program on Christmas Eve. Everyone was a good sport, and there was only a small brawl over who got to be Mary.

This was the year of the magical Christmas snow. We went to bed on a brown Christmas Eve and woke up to a winter wonderland. The cousins made the most of it. Except for Scotty. Turns out he isn't a big fan of snow. Apparently, it terrifies him.

There were so many presents and people this year that we basically just ripped into them. The presents, not the people. I love seeing what other people get, so I was sad to miss out on that, but opening one by one would have taken us through the New Year. Practicality over tradition.

To get into the holiday spirit, William encourages his children play with scissors.

This year Rachel and Russell were kind enough to host us over at their place. The kids had loads of fun with these festive headbands.

We spent the New Year with Felicia and Liz's families. It was nice to be with my sisters since we couldn't be with our Mom. This is the only picture I took of our time together--Settlers of Cataan.
