A Great Scott

Scotty is well into his 9th month of life now. My updates of his babyhood have been less regular than updates of Annie's babyhood. Sorry, kiddo. But let it be known to the world that Scotty is a wonderful baby. He makes us so happy with his little cutenesses and baby ways. The word people always use to describe him is calm. He does his share of fussing at home, but when we are out and about he does get very calm and just observes everything going on around him. He has totally mastered the art of rolling, and he is getting close to pulling himself onto his hands and knees. He can sometimes stay on his knees for one second, but then he quickly falls on his face. He is also getting good at turning around on his bum. After a rough start with solid foods, Scotty now gladly consumes anything we put in his mouth. Maybe his teeth have something to do with that. He has 6 teeth and one on the way. That seems crazy to me! I think Annie only had 2 teeth at this age. He has not yet bitten me while nursing...because he knows what's good for him. 

He has a couple of little tricks. He can twist his tongue all around until it is almost upside down.

After all the times I've fed him, he now sometimes likes to feed me.

He shakes his head back and forth very emphatically.

And he also learned how to wave.

These truly amazing skills showcase Scotty's superior intelligence and cuteness. He is a good, cuddly, adorable little boy, and he brings us bucketfuls of joy. What did we do with ourselves before he was born?
