I would like to add one more idea to the list. Here it is:
Get together a collection of old and well-loved dolls such as this one, stick them in late 1700's garb, and call them "French Revolution Dolls" or "Guillotine Gracie"...you know, something catchy. You could include a little informational packet inside the box with a short history of the time period. Educational! The heads could be reattachable, and of course the guillotine would be sold separately--milk it for all it's worth. You could even throw in a picture book version of A Tale of Two Cities starring Guillotine Gracie. I think it has real potential.
Or maybe it's just time to get Annie a new doll.

You could make a complete collection!! Guillotine Gracie could have friends like Salem Witch Sarah (complete with lighter fluid and sticks) and Bubble Time Fun Ophelia.
Oh, Jill. You slay me.
