We are bad bloggers, but we think we are fairly good people anyway. I started this blog with high hopes. I like reading blogs from other people. I wanted to be cool. I wanted other people to like my blog. But I am a busy woman. School! School! School! But then I realized that blogging is just one more perfect homework avoidance tactic. So here I am blogging when I should be reading O Pioneers! O well! What follows is an update about our lives...a shortened version of everything I wanted to blog about when it happened, but didn't.
Aaron and I got married in August, and this was one of our final wedding presents. Isn't it quaint? It cooks hot dogs, but the best part is that the white and red-striped lid opens, allowing users to store hot dog buns or any other wonderful surprises (i.e. Christmas presents, small children). Brilliant! Who would want to cook hot dogs in the oven when they could be cooking them in this little stand? We love it. Thanks Ashley and Dave!
My family loves pie. Our motto is "A pie for every person." Last Thanksgiving we had 25 pies, but only 13 people attended the feast: I'm willing to amend the motto. This year, however, we were really trying to cut back. We thought we had. This picture was what we found when my mom, dad, Aaron, and I all had pies in our hands to take to the trunk for storage. There wasn't room for what we had in our hands. But honestly, if you had a choice between pie heaven and real heaven, you might just choose pie heaven. It might be a trick, but if not...Mmmm...pie.
We spent the Christmas holiday up with Aaron's family and had a wonderful time. We relaxed, ate food, and watched movies on the 52". Aaron's parents also got us a microwave. We were trying to be strong living for 5 months without one. We are glad the battle is over. This is us smiling because we have a microwave. Or maybe it was because we love each other and we're married. Same thing.
My wonderful father was recently made bishop in my home ward. This is us showing our support. Don't worry. We didn't bring the sign to sacrament meeting.
Now I am done blogging. Back to O Pioneers! O joy!
