Aaron's baby sister got married! It was two years of dating and a three-week long engagement. That's the right way to do things--long courtship, short engagement. They had a simple wedding with just immediate family. It was really nice! So glad we could be there together with Aaron's whole family.
The wedding day was cold and windy! Lots of penguin huddling. But I expected nothing less in February in Utah. Really, it was warmer than it could have been.
Over the weekend, the kids had a great time playing with their cousins. There was a lot of basketball. But another big adventure was walking. Like the pioneer children. Annie and Lucy walked all the way up to the temple! Parents declared that too far for Scotty and Jaden, but they wanted to walk somewhere, too, so they decided to walk to the library and say hi to Angela on her last day as a single working woman. A good time was had by all. And like good helicopter/stalker parents, we tracked our children's progress via phones and smart watches.
And we got to meet Baby Max! Bundle. Of. Joy.
The day after the wedding, we did a little mini youth temple trip. That's what you do when you're in the land of temples. It was Scotty's first time going. It was really nice. I'm glad we made time for it. And Scotty bore a sweet little testimony about the experience back home in Texas. 💖
